It was reported in the beginning that the film was being made with an estimated budget of ₹ 400 crore. But as of the latest information available, the budget for it is around ₹ 150 crore. ​

As for the pay scale of the cast, the lead actor Mohanlal is said to have been paid ₹20 crore for the movie. It says that the director and the actor Prithviraj Sukumaran are paid a remuneration of ₹5 crore and that of Manju Warrier is ₹1.5 crore. ​

According to some estimations, it might cross previous records of Malayalam cinema with ₹50 crore for the first day and ₹100 crore for three days. This strategy will help it cater to the entire India market since it has been released in multiple languages and is also being released in the IMAX format.
